The Lincoln College-Normal Department of Campus Security is part of the Department of Residential and Student Life. The Lincoln College-Normal Campus Security Department is dedicated to maintaining a safe and comfortable campus environment in which students and staff can learn and grow as individuals and together as a diverse community. The department seeks to educate students on how to be respectful, productive, and outstanding citizens during their years at Lincoln College-Normal and after graduation.
The department is charged with the responsibility of securing facilities, assisting students in resolving problems, tracking visitor/guest and vehicle registration, responding to incidents as needed, and maintaining order on campus. The Lincoln College-Normal Security officers are not police officers but cooperate closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies as appropriate.
Crime Statistics/Campus Security Act
The College’s crime statistics, provided in compliance with the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 and its 1992 and 1998 amendments are for the community’s information. As required by federal law, the college’s crime statistics are compiled in accordance with the definition from the Campus Security Act. They are calculated on a calendar year basis and include crimes/arrests that occurred at Lincoln College.
